Printer Paper - Which Type Should I Choose?
Choosing the printer paper depends on your desire and need for the final result.
There is a large supply of paper for printer on the market, and you are offered copy paper in different sizes, weight, finishes etc. so you can achieve exactly the desired outcome with your prints.
Select the paper size
When choosing the type of printer paper to buy, you can start by deciding whether you need to print with A4 printer paper or A3 printer paper.
Here we mention that if you want to print in size A3, then it requires that the printer that you have available is an A3 printer or that it has two paper trays for resp. A4 and A3 paper.
Paper weight
The next thing you can do is decide how ‘heavy’ the printer paper should be. The weight of the paper is measured in GSM. The term ‘GSM’ simply stands for ‘Grams per Square Meter’.
80 GSM
If, for example, you need to print various test sheets and internal documents in a company or recipes and other small tasks for your own use at home, then you will be able to settle for completely standard 80 GSM copy paper.
This paper thickness is the cheapest on the market.

90 GSM - 160 GSM
If, on the other hand, you need to print professional documents, graphs, simple illustrations etc. for customers, partners or the like, then you should consider heavyweight printer paper.

A paper weight of 90 GSM and up also automatically gets a smoother surface, and your prints will therefore be perfect for presentation.
If you would like to print double-sided, we recommend printer paper of 90 GSM or more.
The heavier the paper you choose for double-sided printing, the better your result will be, as the paper is more resistant and the ink will not be able to show through the paper.
Photo paper
If you have a desire to immortalize wedding photos, holiday photos and more, then we recommend that you use photo printer paper for printing.
Pictures printed on photo paper for the printer are perfect for framing, birthday cards and the like, where a fantastic color reproduction and a nice glossy surface are desired.
Photo paper is available, also plain copy paper, in various weights, sizes and finishes.
You can get photo paper in sizes A6, A4 and A3, and you can choose between paper weight 110 GSM, 130 GSM, 140 GSM, 190 GSM, 210 GSM and 260 GSM.

Labels / tags
You may also need to print labels or tags at work or at home.
Fortunately, there is a huge selection of labels. You can choose labels in different sizes and colors, labels with resp. round or straight corners, labels with removable glue etc.

Note: If you need to print labels from a laser printer, you must be aware of whether the desired labels are compatible with the laser jet. In the product description you can see whether the labels can be used for laser, inkjet and / or copy.
A laser printer is a high-tech equipment that requires you to use paper with high heat resistance and finish to achieve optimal performance.
If the labels are not compatible with a laser printer, there is a risk that the labels will melt and, in the worst case, you will be left with a defective printer afterwards.
Colored printer paper
If you need to print images, posters, flyers or the like, for which you want a colored background, you can advantageously choose to print your image material on colored printer paper.
This printing method saves you a lot of colored ink, as the printer does not have to print the background color itself.
Please note that colored printer paper is only available in 80 GSM (A4) paper.
If you have a desire and need to print professional image material using this printing method, we recommend that you use colored printer paper of at least 90 GSM.
